What a 25-foot boom actually does
Real jobs, filmed on site. The first clip is a fenced construction site on a narrow street - nowhere to put a container, and no way to carry the debris out to one.
The equipment
A 25-foot boom changes what "accessible" means
A grapple truck is not a bigger pickup. The boom reaches up to 25 feet, which means the pile does not have to be at the curb, on your side of the fence, or anywhere a person can carry it to. We lift over walls and fences and work from the street.
The 65-cubic-yard dump body is the other half of it. A storm-damaged lot, a cleared building site or a hoarding clear-out is one load and one trip, not a morning of shuttling.
That combination is why the same truck handles a single dead tree and a whole disaster-relief job.

Before you call
What the county will not take, and what happens next
Most people find us at the point where municipal collection stops. These are the limits, and what they mean for you.
Miami-Dade gives me two bulky pickups a year. What if I have used them?
Then the county is finished for the calendar year and the next pile is yours to deal with. Miami-Dade allows two bulky waste pickups per household per year, up to 25 cubic yards each, and a single-family home can combine both into one 50-cubic-yard collection. Once they are spent, a private hauler is the only route left. We come when you call, with no annual limit.
My renovation debris is over the county limit. How much is actually allowed?
Construction and demolition material is capped at 3 cubic yards in Miami-Dade bulky collection - a single bathroom strip-out can beat that. Everything above the cap has to be hauled privately. We take construction and demolition debris by the truckload, and the body holds 65 cubic yards.
I live in a condo. Why was I never eligible for county pickup?
County bulky collection covers households on county residential waste service. Condominiums and apartment buildings on private collection generally do not qualify at all, and several cities - Miami, Hialeah and Coral Gables among them - run their own separate programmes with their own rules. If you have been told you are not on the list, that is why.
Someone dumped on my property and the county cited me. Is that right?
Unfortunately, yes. Miami-Dade code enforcement acts against the property, so clearing illegally dumped material falls to the owner even when a contractor, a tenant or a stranger left it there. Establishing who did it does not pause the notice. We clear the site so you can close the violation - it is one of the most common calls we take from commercial landowners and HOAs.
I run a landscaping or tree service in Broward. Can I leave debris for the city?
No. Broward County requires professional tree trimmers, lawn maintenance companies, arborists and landscapers to dispose of their own work debris - it may not be left for the municipal contractor. That is a standing requirement rather than a preference, which is why trade customers tend to put us on a schedule instead of calling job by job.
How much yard waste will Broward collect in a week?
Four cubic yards per weekly pickup for residents. Above that the pile is not collected until you arrange payment for the excess, and it must go out no earlier than noon the day before - early placement risks a code enforcement fine. One storm, one hedge or one felled tree clears four cubic yards easily.
Do you take on regular work, or only one-off jobs?
Both. A one-off pile is fine and most of our residential work is exactly that. But regular customers - tree services, landscapers, contractors, property managers - get priority on scheduling and better rates, because a standing arrangement is easier for us to plan around than a call out of nowhere. What the rate looks like depends on the material, the kind of work and how often. If you generate debris every week, say so when you call.
How much does it cost?
It depends on three things: how far we travel, what the material is, and what kind of job it is. Construction debris is not priced like yard waste, and a pile you can reach from the street is not priced like one behind a building. Send us a photo of the pile and we will give you a price on the phone.
Can you quote from a photo, and does that price hold?
Yes. A photo shows us the size of the job better than a description does, so most quotes start there and you get a number on the phone. If the job matches the photo when we arrive, the price is the price. It only changes if there is more than the photo showed, or something in it we could not see - and we will tell you before we start, not after.
Do I need to rent a container?
No, and that is the difference. A dumpster arrives empty and filling it is your problem; when it is full, work stops until a swap arrives. We load from the truck with the boom and leave with the debris the same day, so nothing sits on your property and there is no rental clock. The one case where a container genuinely wins is intermittent work over several weekends - if you need somewhere to put things gradually, rent one.
Does the pile have to be at the curb?
No. The boom reaches up to 25 feet, so we lift over fences and walls and work from the street. That covers sites a container cannot reach at all - no room, no access, or a dumpster already sitting in the way. Curbside pickups are fine too; a lot of household and commercial jobs are exactly that.
How much can one truck take in a single trip?
The dump body holds 65 cubic yards. Most storm clean-ups, cleared lots and construction sites go in one load and one trip.
